How to play a CS2 case battle with friends

Create a battle you understand

Start in the battle lobby. The creation screen combines your case lineup with the player format and game settings. Read the mode description carefully, because not every mode rewards results in the same way.

1. Choose the cases and quantities. Open a case’s contents preview to inspect its skins and chances.
2. Set the player format and mode, then review the total rounds and cost per seat.
3. Create the battle and share its link with friends.
4. Wait for players, or fill an empty seat with a bot. Choosing a specific seat adds the bot there.

Joining and watching

Open a waiting battle to review its cases and available seats. Joining commits the stake shown for that seat. A longer or more expensive lineup changes the total entry even if one of its cases looks familiar.

A spectator can follow the same match without occupying a player seat. The shared round state comes from the server, so the table’s result is not decided by how fast an animation runs on your device.

Read the selected mode and final result

The final settlement depends on the battle’s chosen rules. Check the mode rather than assuming the highest individual item always wins. Team and individual formats can compare results differently.

Battle returns are credited in the selected Chips or Shards currency. The skins shown during the battle determine its result; they are not separate inventory gifts. Money withdrawal requests use eligible Shards through the wallet.

Cancellation and expired waiting lobbies

The creator can cancel a battle while it is waiting. That option ends once the battle starts. Waiting battles older than one hour expire automatically when the expiry process runs, and funded seats receive their stakes back.

Before creating another battle, check whether the first lobby is still waiting. A slow connection or a page refresh should not be treated as proof that a funded entry has disappeared. Use the existing battle link to inspect its current state.
